MNACTEC technical museums in Terrassa and Manresa

In the nearest towns around Barcelona there are many museums and places
to go and see, if you are tired to go to the city center to make some typical
visits around Plaza Catalunya, you must go to Terrassa and Manresa, two
towns-cities??, from almost 220.000 habitants in the first case,  and 75.000
in the case of Manresa, that it has two importants museums dedicated to the
technical and science, it´s a route that can help you to explain who? and why?
the catalan people are like we are.

The colonial factory, dedicated to the manufacturated textile products, were
created, around the second half from the nineteen century, all along the
river Llobregat, and,.... in this location, most of this buildings still remain in
testify of his richness, this factories are now museums dedicated to show his
history and patrimony.

We recommend to go and see two of these factories, in Terrassa and Manresa,
with the richnest textile patrimony that we have in this Catalan territory, the
"Aymerich Vapor", in Terrassa, and the "ancient waterhouse" in Manresa, where
you can see old textile engines in movement, and stine engines, the heart of this
factories.

take the subway in "Horta" and go to "Diagonal" (line blue),
make the connect to "FGC" and go to "Provenza station"

Take the line S1 to Terrassa and travel around half an hour

Here is one map from Terrassa, and how it´s located
the museum so far away from the "FGC" station, ten minutes walk

When you finish your visit you can reach the RENFE station,
like you can see in the map from Terrassa, and buy a ticket
to Manresa (R4 Sant Vicenc-Vilafranca-Manresa),
is near from Terrassa, and both in the center
of Cataluña

When you reach Manresa station you must rent a Taxi,
the museum in Manresa is a bit far from the river!!

To return to the city you must take the "FGC" train,
near the museum, and take a ticket to "plaza España" station,
it´s a long way, over one hour, but it´s funny!!

To return to "Horta", here is the map,
take first the subway from "España" to "Sagrera" (line red),
and  make connection to line blue, from "Sagrera" to "Horta"
